Return of In-Person RCIC Club Events in BC

A few days after the successful Toronto event, the RCIC Club hosted two other in-person events in the Greater Vancouver Area.

The first event, Light Luxury Night, was held at the JW Marriott Hotel on the evening of October 27. A few VIP and senior members gathered for a cocktail party in the magnificent D/6 Bar & Lounge, socializing and connecting for potential business opportunities.

Feeling the strong desire from BC members for another in-person event, the club organizers decided to host a second and much larger gathering on Saturday, October 30th. On the morning of Halloween, given only a couple of days for preparation, this event turned out more popular than expected. Forty-six members from the Greater Vancouver Area attended. The event took place at Fisherman’s Terrace Seafood Restaurant at Aberdeen Center in Richmond, BC.

During the event, Lily Lee, founder of the club updated the attendees on the latest initiatives and strategies that the club has undertaken to improve members’ professional outlook within the RCIC industry.

Members also took advantage of this rare opportunity to network with their colleagues as much as possible, as in-person gatherings of this scale have been restricted for nearly twenty months since the Covid-19 pandemic began.

“We haven’t seen our colleagues for a long time.” One of the attendees pointed out, “It is also great to meet so many new members!”

“RCIC’s business has been affected severely in the last two years. It is important to be connected with such a community, where colleagues can network and help each other grow.” Says Susan Gong , another member attending the event.

As Covid restrictions ease, the club’s organizing team hopes to host more in-person activities in the near future.

Special recognition to the following volunteers who contributed their time and effort to make this event possible:

Maggie, Lisa, Flora and Frank.
