SUMMARY:2022 July 23 Experience the Power of POW WOW
DESCRIPTION:Summary\n\n\n\nAfter a two-year interruption\, POW WOW is back in 2022! The POW WOW of this year filled with joy\, ceremony\, and fellowship. This cultural gathering is an important part of the Indigenous identity\, tradition\, and culture\, of many First Nations communities. \n\n\n\nPowwow was adopted and adapted by various Indigenous communities across North America. It is a celebration that showcases Indigenous music\, dances\, food\, and crafts. The word “POW WOW” itself stems from the Algonquin language which was translated as “he or she dreams” and referred to the spiritual healers within the tribes. \n\n\n\nToday Powwow is a pan-Indigenous event\, often opens to the general public. Despite some differences in powwow music and dance style among nations\, all powwows serve to honor Indigenous heritage. \n\n\n\nThe event will be held at 12:00 AM on Saturday\, July 23 in the Six Nations Territory of the Grand River in southern Ontario\, with more than 100 Canadian and American tribes and their chiefs\, more than 400 Aboriginal dancers and singers\, more than 100 Aboriginal artists\, 30 Aboriginal restaurants will be present to showcase North American Aboriginal culture\, history\, art\, and food\, forge a sense of community\, and practice spiritual healing. \n\n\n\nThis event is one of the few purely in-person outdoor networking activities in the club that can bring relatives and friends. Everyone will have the opportunity to communicate with the aboriginal chiefs. In addition\, we also have a number of industry leaders and media people to participate. It is a good chance to know them at close range and build your network. At the same time\, we also arranged the first “light-picking image” photography competition since the establishment of RCIC Club. Photographs are not permitted during Grand Entry\, Honour Songs and Retiring of the Flags unless stated. If you wish to photograph at any time during the powwow\, listen to the MC for details about appropriate times to take pictures. \n\n\n\nEvery activity of the club will bring members indelible memories.
