SUMMARY:RCIC Club and CAPIC Sign Historic MOU: A New Era of Unity\, Advocacy\, and Professional Growth in Immigration Consulting
DESCRIPTION:The Canadian Immigration Consultants Club (RCIC Club) is proud to announce the signing of a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants (CAPIC)—a defining step forward in unifying the voices of immigration consultants across Canada and elevating the profession through collective action. \n\n\n\nSigned on September 24\, 2025\, this MOU brings together the leadership of both organizations. Representing RCIC Club were Lily Lee (Chair)\, Peter Tat-Mun Lam (Chief Advisor)\, and Ruby Cheang(Secretary)\, while CAPIC was represented by Prateek Babbar (Chair)\, Dory Jade (CEO)\, and Gerd Damitz (Ambassador). \n\n\n\nStrengthening the Profession: Recognition and Advocacy \n\n\n\nAt the heart of this agreement is a shared commitment to protecting the integrity of the profession—most notably through coordinated efforts to combat Unauthorized Practitioners (UAPs). Under the MOU: \n\n\n\nRCIC Club will provide CAPIC with credible\, evidence-based reports on UAPs. \n\n\n\nCAPIC will formally present these concerns to the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC). \n\n\n\nRegular updates will be provided to ensure transparency and accountability. \n\n\n\nUAP issues will become a permanent item in bi-annual CAPIC–CICC meetings. \n\n\n\nThese actions will lead to stronger safeguards for the public and the profession\, while positioning RCIC Club as a serious stakeholder in industry-wide reform. \n\n\n\nRepresentation That Reflects Canada’s Diversity \n\n\n\nThis MOU also paves the way for inclusive and structured lobbying\, ensuring that the concerns of diverse\, community-based\, and special interest RCIC groups are brought to the attention of policymakers. \n\n\n\nRCIC Club can now submit lobbying topics to CAPIC for inclusion in formal consultations with Immigration\, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). \n\n\n\nCAPIC will communicate selected topics to IRCC\, and share feedback with the Club. \n\n\n\nThis process amplifies the voice of our members and ensures their issues are discussed at the highest levels. \n\n\n\nProfessional Development Through Mentorship \n\n\n\nRCIC Club members who also hold CAPIC membership will gain automatic access to CAPIC’s IMMeMentor Program—a structured mentorship platform that: \n\n\n\nPairs consultants with experienced RCIC mentors; \n\n\n\nProvides hands-on support on real case files; \n\n\n\nEncourages knowledge sharing and professional growth; \n\n\n\nPromotes ethical standards and regulatory compliance. \n\n\n\nThis is a unique opportunity for our members to enhance their skills\, gain confidence\, and build lasting professional networks—all within a compliant and professionally supported framework. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nExclusive Benefits for RCIC Club Members \n\n\n\nAs part of the collaboration\, CAPIC will offer a discounted first-year membership fee to RCIC Club members during biannual outreach campaigns. This exclusive benefit makes it easier than ever for consultants to access national-level support\, while strengthening our Club’s value proposition. \n\n\n\nWe invite all Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCICs) to join RCIC Club and become part of a movement that is shaping the future of our profession. Through this MOU\, we are offering more than just benefits—we are offering representation\, visibility\, and a unified voice. \n\n\n\nElevating the Profession—Together \n\n\n\nThis collaboration between RCIC Club and CAPIC reflects a growing alignment within the immigration consulting profession—one rooted in shared values of accountability\, professionalism\, and public trust. \n\n\n\nBy creating formal channels for advocacy\, mentorship\, and inclusive representation\, this MOU positions both organizations to play a more constructive role in shaping Canada’s immigration landscape—one that is responsive to evolving community needs\, policy realities\, and ethical imperatives. \n\n\n\nAs RCIC Club continues to grow in both size and stature\, it stands ready to engage with partners across sectors—from public institutions to community organizations and industry leaders—who share a vision for a fair\, effective\, and well-regulated immigration system in Canada.

SUMMARY:RCIC CLUB 23rd Private Conference: 2026 UN New York Immersion Programme and Year of the Horse
DESCRIPTION:February 13–20\, 2026 \n\n\n\nLocation: New York City | UN system learning environmentFormat: RCIC Club curated small delegation (limited capacity) \n\n\n\nMany people ask: \n\n\n\nWhat truly differentiates one RCIC from another at a higher level? \n\n\n\nIt is not technical skills alone. \n\n\n\nIt is whether you possess real exposure and perspective within the international system. \n\n\n\nAt the intersection of the Lunar New Year of the Horse and Valentine’s Day in February 2026\, RCIC CLUB will lead a selected group of members within a United Nations system–based educational environment in New York for a full-week\, immersive professional learning and exchange program. This is not a sightseeing tour. It is a practice-based entry into the global institutional environment—under a professional identity. \n\n\n\nParticipants will engage in week-long\, full-day structured learning within a United Nations system–based educational setting\, as independent professional participants. The program emphasizes substantive exposure and learning\, rather than brief visits or ceremonial activities. \n\n\n\n\nWeek-Long\, Full-Day Immersion within the United Nations System\n\n\n\n\nParticipants will engage in an immersive experience within an official UN system educational environment\, gaining first-hand understanding of: \n\n\n\nThe operational logic of international organizations \n\n\n\nGlobal governance and multilateral cooperation frameworks \n\n\n\nInternational policy perspectives related to migration and global mobility \n\n\n\nProfessional communication and decision-making culture within international institutions \n\n\n\nOpportunities of this depth are typically accessible only to universities\, official bodies\, or designated organizations. This program represents one of RCIC CLUB’s rare\, system-based\, non-ceremonial international immersions. \n\n\n\n\nEntering the World Stage with a Professional Identity\n\n\n\n\nYou attend not as a visitor\, and not as a student\, but as a professional member of RCIC CLUB. \n\n\n\nThis distinction creates long-term value: \n\n\n\nA credible international institutional experience that can be integrated into your professional profile \n\n\n\nStrong positioning for high-net-worth and cross-border clients \n\n\n\nAn identity-based credential that is difficult to replicate \n\n\n\nFor consultants seeking to clearly elevate their professional tier over the next 2–3 years\, such experience becomes a reusable strategic asset. \n\n\n\n\nEngagement with New York’s Education System\n\n\n\n\nThe program also includes: \n\n\n\nExchange with New York secondary education institutions \n\n\n\nA visit to New York University (NYU) \n\n\n\nFrom the perspective of global education pathways and talent mobility\, members will deepen their understanding of how North American education systems interface with long-term migration and international planning for high-end families. \n\n\n\n\nLunar New Year & Valentine’s Day in a Global Capital\n\n\n\n\nCelebrating the Year of the Horse in New York—the world’s most multicultural city—together with the local Chinese community offers more than festivity. It represents cultural continuity and identity on the global stage. \n\n\n\nThe convergence of Lunar New Year\, Valentine’s Day\, and New York creates a rare personal and professional milestone: \n\n\n\na moment that carries emotional resonance\, cultural meaning\, and long-term narrative value for one’s personal brand. \n\n\n\n\nHigh-Level Exchange and International Networking\n\n\n\n\nThe program will include opportunities for interaction with: \n\n\n\nProfessionals connected to the UN system \n\n\n\nChambers of commerce and international organizations \n\n\n\nCross-sector institutional representatives \n\n\n\nThese exchanges aim to build authentic\, sustainable international communication channels and professional networks. \n\n\n\nWhy This Experience Is Truly Irreplaceable \n\n\n\n✔ Full-day immersion within the UN system \n\n\n\n✔ Entry with a professional\, not visitor\, identity \n\n\n\n✔ Genuine international institutional exposure \n\n\n\n✔ Strong credibility for cross-border and high-end client positioning \n\n\n\n✔ A rare time window: Lunar New Year\, Valentine’s Day\, and New York combined \n\n\n\nThis is the kind of experience that changes how you are positioned—both in the eyes of clients and within the profession. \n\n\n\nWho This Is Designed For \n\n\n\nThis program is particularly suited for RCICs who: \n\n\n\n✔ RCICs currently serving or planning to serve cross-border and high-net-worth clients \n\n\n\n✔ Professionals aiming to clearly elevate their positioning within the next 2–3 years \n\n\n\n✔ Members who value identity\, international credibility\, and long-term brand assets over short-term cost considerations \n\n\n\nFrom a Confirmed RCIC Club Member \n\n\n\n“I’m not joining because it’s New York.I’m joining for the real\, system-based experience. This is the kind of exposure that stays relevant for many years—for clients\, and for how you position yourself professionally.” \n\n\n\nImportant Notes on Participation \n\n\n\nSeats are strictly limited and confirmed in internal priority orderParticipation is as independent learners\, not as representatives of any international organizationAttendance does not imply affiliation\, endorsement\, or certification by the United Nations or its agenciesA Strategic Step\, Not a One-Time Trip \n\n\n\nRCIC Club designs international programs for members who think in years\, not seasons—who understand that the most valuable professional assets are identity\, perspective\, and credibility. \n\n\n\nThis New York immersion is one such step. \n\n\n\nInterested in Joining the Delegation or RCIC Club? \n\n\n\n📩Contact rcicclubevents@gmail.com to receive the detailed information package \n\n\n\nRCIC ClubA professional platform for RCICs who choose depth\, credibility\, and global perspective \n\n\n\nRCIC CLUB | Membership Open · 2026 \n\n\n\n*Participation does not imply employment by\, representation of\, or official affiliation with the United Nations or any of its agencies.

SUMMARY:25th RCIC CLUB Executive Learning Retreat (Oxford University Program-UK)
DESCRIPTION:Oxford University Study Program · Cambridge University Academic Visit · London School of Economics Institutional VisitAugust 8 – August 18\, 2026 | United Kingdom \n\n\n\nFollowing the Harvard University and Yale University learning programs\, the Canadian Immigration Consultants Club (RCIC CLUB) will officially launch its 25th RCIC CLUB UK Executive Learning Retreat in the summer of 2026. \n\n\n\nCentered around learning within the world’s leading academic institutions\, this program will focus on Oxford University coursework\, academic visits to the University of Cambridge\, and institutional observation at the London School of Economics\, creating a systematic learning experience that combines institutional understanding\, academic depth\, and international perspective. \n\n\n\nThe Oxford University study component offers two learning tracks\, and members may choose one based on their professional interests and long-term development goals: \n\n\n\n• Rules of the Game: How Law Works in Everyday Life• Marketing in the Digital Age: AI\, Communication and the Human Touch \n\n\n\nParticipants who successfully complete the Oxford University program will receive a certificate of completion issued upon conclusion of the coursework. \n\n\n\nWhy the United Kingdom? \n\n\n\nThe relationship between Canada and the United Kingdom extends far beyond an ordinary international connection. Canada’s common law system\, constitutional structure\, and philosophy of public governance have all been deeply shaped by British legal and institutional traditions. To better understand the UK is\, in many ways\, to better understand the foundations upon which Canada’s institutional framework was built. \n\n\n\nRCIC CLUB chose the UK not as an exercise in revisiting history\, but as an opportunity to help members re-examine the foundations\, evolution\, and operating logic of the Canadian immigration system within a broader legal and social context. \n\n\n\nWhy does this matter for Canadian immigration consultants? \n\n\n\nRCIC CLUB’s international learning programs have never been simply about “going abroad.” Their purpose is to help members: \n\n\n\n• Understand immigration policy logic from its institutional origins• Strengthen professional judgment beyond procedural knowledge• Re-examine the Canadian experience within an international academic context• Reinforce the professional identity of immigration consultants as professionals carrying public trust and responsibility \n\n\n\nAt the same time\, as global travel costs continue to evolve\, more Canadians are beginning to rethink the value of international learning and long-term educational travel. For those with more than 10 days of vacation\, Europe is once again becoming an important destination that combines educational meaning with global perspective. \n\n\n\nExecutive Learning Retreat Principles \n\n\n\n• Exclusive to RCIC CLUB Members• Small-Scale\, Deep Learning• Emphasis on Complete Learning Experience and High-Quality Exchange \n\n\n\nThe value of an executive learning retreat lies not in the destination itself\, but in developing a deeper understanding of the institutional world upon which one’s profession is built.
