This premier event brought together industry leaders\, experts\, and immigration professionals to discuss migration governance\, policy trends\, and the future of immigration in North America. \n\n\n\nThe summit was a unique opportunity for Club members\, who are seasoned immigration consultants\, to actively engage in a range of high-level discussions\, share expertise\, and network with key stakeholders in the immigration space. The Club’s participation in this global event reflects its commitment to keeping its members informed about emerging trends and fostering an environment for continuous learning and professional development. \n\n\n\nHighlights of the Conference: \n\n\n\n\nPost-Election Public Opinion on Immigration in the US and Canada: Experts analyzed recent shifts in public opinion on immigration and their potential impact on future policy and public engagement.\n\n\n\nChanging the Narrative on Immigration: Attendees explored strategies to reshape the narrative around immigration\, emphasizing the positive contributions of immigrants\, refugees\, and international students.\n\n\n\nLabour Mobility and Employer Partnerships: Panelists discussed innovative models for engaging the private sector in labor mobility initiatives to address workforce shortages\, particularly in the hospitality sector.\n\n\n\nCanada’s Immigration at a Crossroads: Experts debated Canada’s evolving immigration policies\, including trends in labor migration\, automation\, and the increasing politicization of temporary migration.\n\n\n\nBridging Borders: Labour Mobility and Policy Shifts in North America: This session highlighted how labor mobility can address demographic challenges and encourage inclusive immigration policies across Canada and the US.\n\n\n\nOperation Ukrainian Safe Haven: Canada’s successful humanitarian response to displaced populations was showcased\, with a focus on the integration of refugees from Ukraine and Afghanistan.\n\n\n\n\nIn addition to the enriching sessions\, the RCIC Club delegation enjoyed a guided tour of Washington D.C.\, taking in iconic landmarks such as the Lincoln Memorial\, U.S. Capitol\, and the Washington Monument. The festive atmosphere of the city added to the experience\, with members indulging in gourmet meals and soaking in the holiday spirit\, making the trip both educational and enjoyable. \n\n\n\nLooking ahead\, the Canadian Immigration Consultants Club is excited to announce even more engaging events for 2025. Our members can look forward to a dynamic year\, with the highlight being the Club’s fourth Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Calgary\, Alberta\, scheduled for May 2025. The AGM will explore the growing role of AI technology in the immigration consulting industry\, providing members with valuable insights into how artificial intelligence is transforming the profession.
